I charge an hourly rate and have done enough projects in the industry to know about how many hours something is going to take me. After an initial conversation with you, I will have some very specific questions to ask. After those questions are fully answered, I can give you an accurate estimate and even a free, no obligation proposal.

I really appreciate it when customers ask me this question. If you don't ask questions of a designer before you enter into a contract, sometimes you will be very disappointed!

I have been working with Adobe products and producing custom graphic design art since 1998, and have been designing custom websites since 2003. I am a credentialed California educator, specializing in teen and adult career education, focusing mostly on Adobe products such as Photoshop (Digital photo editor), Illustrator (vector designs for logos, embroidery, and etching), Dreamweaver (website designer/manager), InDesign (create digital publications and things for print), Premier (edit videos), and others.  I am also well-versed in a variety of web coding languages such as HTML, CSS, PHP, databases, and WordPress.

Once I get introduced to a customer, I make it a point to break through some of their frustrations and hesitations that they've accumulated from dealing with impersonal designers in the past.

After things are lightened up, I ask them a series of clarifying questions, to try and get a better idea of what it would take to make their dream become a reality.

Once I have a perfectly clear idea of where they want to go and how I plan on getting them there, I write up a detailed, no obligation proposal that includes a description of what I plan on doing, a timeline, and how much it will cost.

The art of communicating with customer is often lost with many designers. I make it a point to open up a clear line of communication between myself and my customers, keeping them up-to-date on all developments of their project, no matter how small. I am always available via phone and email, so my customers always feel like they can contact me at any time.

For some people, the conclusion of a project is an exciting time. However, if you are not familiar with how to maintain a complex website, you can also be a time of great anxiety. I make it a point to maintain a relationship with my clients even after the project is done, to ensure their satisfaction continues.
